My Little Turkey

We are approaching the 3 week mark and I can honestly say we are still doing great. I have never been one to go without at least 8 hours of sleep- until November 3rd. BUT I have learned in a short time you need to take the sleep you are given. We have two shifts at night time. Unfortunately I have to get up for both- to pump. The first shift mainly requires D to get up (and I get to go back to bed after I pump.) The second shift is all me and D doesn't have to move an inch. Sounds fair... right? Well it is in the standpoint that there is nothing more D can actually do to help. HOWEVER, I am still so curious as to why women have to go through everything? We have periods, babies, and now I am Bessie the freaking milking cow for the next 3 months (or longer if I can last.) I mean really... what do men go through besides their monthly mood cycles? Am I bitter? Just a little =)

Enough about me! Our little turkey is changing so much. Yesterday D and I noticed that her eyes look a lot bigger from when she was born. I know it is too early to tell but her eyes seem to be getting blue(er) and blue(er). I love it! It reminds me of my Dad who had hands down the prettiest deep blues eyes you will ever see.

Our baby girl has also developed quite the temper. Especially if her milk is not ready (heated up) by the time she is hungry- OR- when we have to stop in the middle of feeding to burp her. Her temper is so much worse with D. Its almost like she knows he feels worse than I do so she plays on his emotion. Don't get me wrong- I feel bad when she cries but if she is crying because we are stopping to burp her... that's just kind of funny. Heaven forbid we burp her in the middle of a feeding so she doesn't choke!

I don't have anymore pictures uploaded right now =( but I will make up for it next time I blog!
