True Story

These are the actual events as they happened. It is not dramatized.

On Wednesday we had Stella's doctor's appt as you read below. We came back, we both ate, then she relaxed and played with toys while I blogged. Around 230p she started to get extremely fussy. Stella is NEVER fussy unless she is hungry or tired. And her cry was much different then the hungry/ tired cry. So I checked her temperature (like always) and saw she was indeed running one. The doctor said that might happen after shots. So then I check her legs where she received the 5 different shots. Her left leg was ok but her right one started to feel warm (where the shot was given) and it was hardening up and bruising. 3...2...1 I flipped out. The doctor told me if that happened I needed to bring Stella in right away (not me flipping out but the hardening of the leg.)

I put Stella in her car seat and headed out the door. Low and behold my car wouldn't start. Oh shit. I called D. No answer. I called Maggie (my sister in law). Luckily she answered and was on her way! I knew she would be able to look at Stella's leg as a professional (since she is in the medical field.) Then D called me and he said he was on his way. Then I called Lexus and told them to come get my freaking car that wont start (and only has 27k miles on it. Therefore there shouldnt have been any reason why it wouldn't start...right?)

Maggie came and confirmed I wasn't crazy and that Stella's leg was exactly as I described. I called the doctor to tell them we were on our way. The doctor told me not to come because they had a really sick patient there (I'm guessing he had something that was very contagious) and she told me to give her tylenol and massage her leg. WTF! So Maggie gave her tylenol and massaged her leg. It was so sad because poor Stella was in pain and cried anytime we had to touch her legs.

D gets home. Goes to the garage and starts my car. WTF again! I swear it wouldn't start. Maggie leaves. Then D and I take turns holding Stella and comforting her. She wouldn't/couldn't go to sleep. FINALLY she stopped crying around 545p (after 3 straight hours of crying.) I went to go get supplies and new toys for her (she earned it)! It was about that time for her next dose of Tylenol so I decided to give it to her. BIG MISTAKE! I gave her just a tad bit and she threw up all over me. It wasn't a little throw up. It soaked her shirt and my pants. SOAKED. We went upstairs immediately. I took off her clothes and diaper then went to the bathroom to fill up her tub. While waiting for it to fill up she peed on me. Seriously?! Then I get her in the tub. Within 20 seconds she pooped in the tub. OMG! So I pull her out. Clean her tub and start all over again. She finally went to sleep shortly afterwards.

So lets recap-
Fever
Hardening of leg
Car won't start
Thrown up on
Pissed on
and then had to clean crap out of a tub

ALL IN ONE DAY! Welcome to motherhood Sarah =)
