Yikes. The good news is- I did at least update this once in December. Once a month is my goal, anything past that I will have exceeded my goal. Fair enough?
Ok, where to begin. There has been some MAJOR changes going on. I went back to work FULL time in December. In an office. No one screams at me. Bites me. Or pulls my hair. Yet. So that is a really great sign. Oh, I love my new job. So that's great too!
I DO miss my little ladies throughout the day. Not so much the screaming, biting, or hair pulling- but besides just always seeing their cute little faces- I mostly miss our day time dance parties. I try to make up for it in the evening and all weekend.
So the little ladies now go to school. I thought the transition was going to be tough on Stella- and Gracie would be a breeze. I was definitely wrong. Stella transitioned so well. She still isn't excited about school but she tolerates it. Gracie has had the hardest time, but I think she is doing much better. She still cries every morning but it lasts for less than a minute. After I drop off Stella I go back to Gracie's room to peek through the door to see if she stopped crying. And so far 100% of the time she has.
On to Christmas. This was our very first Christmas to spend it alone with just D, Stella, Gracie, and I. D cooked a great big breakfast to start the morning off. After the little ladies went through their stockings they really weren't too interested in their presents. We got them to open about 6 each- and they were so over it. They were too busy already playing with some of the new things they opened. Soooo D and I spent the next 45 minutes to an hour opening the rest of their presents (that I spent HOURS wrapping). I wish I could tell you I won't buy them as much next year- but that would be a lie.
New Years was completely uneventful. D and Stella were pretty sick. I honestly think we all went to bed by 10pm. I know, we are lame. That's our one and only resolution this year. To not be so lame and get out more often (without the little ladies.)
I PROMISE to post pictures next time.
