I have no clue why I havent blogged lately. I mean really I don't do anything AND I am completely bored all day. Ok now that I have gotten my extreme sarcasm out of the way we can get on with things ;)
So lets see, I rarely reread my blogs so I have no clue where I left off with the updates with the kids. So I figured we can do a Gracie count down! Top 7 new things Gracie is up to:
7. She crawls (which I think you know) 5 Months- 1 Week before 6 Months
6. She 'talks' nonstop. And when she thinks I am not listening (because Stella is more than likely talking to me too) or I am not talking back she 'yell talks' 7 Months
5. She still cries if I am not in her site when anyone is visiting 5,6,7,8 Months
4. She climbs on stairs 7 Months
3. She eats REAL food as well as eats or attempts to eat anything that will fit in her mouth. 7-8 Months
2. She plays with Stella. Like they truly sit down (for a few seconds) and play with toys together. 8 Months
1. She pulls up on everything AND gets into everything. We seriously had to lower her crib 2 times within a 7 day period. She's just as active as Stella. 7-8 Months
These are just the highlights. Gracie really does do something new everyday from her face expressions to her different sounds. Her personality is so fun. She pretty much laughs anything off and really really loves Stella. She thinks Stella is just the coolest. I didn't mention in my highlights because I know I have said it before (I mean I think) Gracie said Mama at 3 months and definitely associates it with me. The bad part about that is she only calls me by my name when she is sad. She did finally say dada at about 5 months. However, I am not 100% if she associates that with D. But she at least doesnt say it when shes sad! AND she is completely obsessed with D. She gets so excited when he just looks at her let alone holds her or plays with her.
Let's move on to sassy Stella. She is seriously too smart for her own good. She soaks up everything, repeats things to you perfectly and in context, and attempts to rule the house. Stella still LOVES to play with her babies- especially Frenchy. Another favorite past time still- is dancing. She could seriously dance all day. She loves dancing to anything Katy Perry and anything the Chipmunks sing (like Beyonce's Single Ladies). Stella has incorporated more moves and can really shake it. She is REALLY into watching Curious George and since she decided at her old age of 2 she no longer needs a nap- Curious George is 'quiet time'. She does however nap about 4 times a week- she will fall asleep on our daily walks then continue the slumber when I bring her in. Also I would like to disclose if I '"forced" her to nap she would seriously just cry the whole time and my nerves can't handle that. It is typically to early for me to start drinking at 1pm so instead of an alcoholic mother we just have quiet time.
There are soooo many funny stories I could tell you about our sassy Stella. I honestly don't know where to start or how to translate them to their full potential of funniness. Hmmmmmm.... Okay I'll attempt yesterday's Target adventure. Earlier in the day I believe I had told D that I had dropped the ball on something (I am sure it had to do with our taxes I just can't remember.) Stella of course asked- what happened when I got off the phone with D. (Nosey like her mama.) I'm sure I made something up but I did explain to her that I didn't physically drop a ball. I explained that what I meant was I didn't do something I was suppose to or should have done. So anyways- of course underestimating this smart one I was pretty she she did not care about what I just explained to her because as I was on my last sentence explaining she interrupted me with "Frenchy pooped her pants."
So anyways we went to Target to pick some things up for Gracie when I remembered an adorable shirt my niece wore the day before. I told her we should go find it because she would look fabulous in it. So after getting Gracie's stuff we went to find the shirt. They either didn't have it anymore or it was sold out. So I told her that. As we were walking away she told me "you really dropped the ball." This kid amazes me- even when she is a bit of a smart ass.
Tha tha that's all folks! I'll post pictures next time!
