Updates Updates Updates!

Let's start with Gracie Louise! She is STILL just the cutest and sweetest baby. (I know she'll always be cute I am just wondering when she is going to start being wild like her sister!) She sleeps through the entire night about 6 nights out of the week. She LOVES it when you talk to her then gets super excited and tries to 'talk' back. She smiles ALL the time. She has the biggest smile- you can literally see the smile just in her eyes- she is such a happy baby. She hasn't showed us lately any signs of wanting to roll. It seemed like she was itching to roll at 2 months- but she really just scoots up or down when she is on the floor now. Much like her sister she is super curious and when she is up she wants to be involved in what is going on- if not she is NOT happy. However, much unlike her sister (who never took longer than a 30 minute nap up until 6 months) she DOES in fact sleep and takes a couple long naps during the day. Gracie also gets a little annoyed with her big sis like I mentioned in previous blogs. If Stella had a volume I could control (besides loud) Gracie would be much happier when Stella tries to play with her.

Now on to my sweet crazy Stella. She is seriously just a bundle of energy. Still on the go and still wild! We had to switch to a toddler bed a few weeks ago do to the fact that Stella some how jumped out of her crib! I walked in her room to find her laying by the crib instead of in it... I immediately freaked out (made sure she was still alive) and had D convert her bed that night. Since then nap time has been a bit of a struggle. So let me just tell you why.  Now that she can get out of her bed on her own, she then taught herself how to open her closed door, next after that I would lock her door from her side (I had a key- don't freak out) but she quickly taught herself how to unlock that as well. Nap time was taking TWO hours before she would finally give up and go to sleep. It was definitely a battle of wills between her and I. I will finally admit that she is definitely good competition and WILL give me a run for my money when she gets older. I went through LOTS of wine those few weeks after she went to bed for the night. It was rough. Just to let you know we ended up buying child proof door knob covers that go over the handle. Now she demands we take it off every time we go in her room. D does (of course) but I don't!

This weekend is Stella's 2nd Birthday Party! I have a few out of town friends coming in and I am SOOO excited. PLUS they will get to meet Gracie which is definitely a bonus ;) Stella's theme this year is owls. She just loves the stuffed animal owls that she has so we thought why not?! I DID get super creative this year with the theme- and I cant wait to post pics and see how it all turns out. I was in the process of making some of the party favors when D said (exact words) "Wow, did you do that? (I just stared at him) I had no clue you knew what arts and crafts was. "(Again I just stared at him thinking how brave he was with me having scissors in my hands.) He continues with "What I meant was I didn't know you knew how to make stuff." Jackass. =)

Since I was super late in getting everything together- I had to send an evite (the owl pic is the one I used- taken by Steph of course.) The other pic is just part of the photo shoot we took a week ago- stay tuned for those!
